Since becoming a National Historic Landmark in 1965, Hawaiian Mission Houses has preserved the cultural convergence of missionary teachings, Native Hawaiian traditions, and multicultural influences that formed modern Hawaiʻi. The educational programs provide an immersive approach that fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history taught in the classroom to Hawaii State Standards, connecting them beyond textbook learning to Hawaiian history in a meaningful and engaging way.
