We are thrilled to announce that the legendary Alan Akaka & the Islanders will provide the musical soundtrack for our upcoming fundraising gala. For nearly four decades, Alan Akaka & the Islanders have been synonymous with authentic Hawaiian music that captures the spirit of the islands' golden era. Formed in 1985, this renowned trio features:

• Alan Akaka– the master musician whose voice and artistry have defined a generation
• Kaipo Asing– bringing his exceptional guitar work to every performance
• Helene Woodward– providing the rich, rhythmic foundation on upright bass

The Sound of Old Hawaiʻi

Known for their signature "danceable island rhythms," Alan Akaka & the Islanders transport listeners straight back to the enchanting 1940s and 1950s—Hawaiʻi's musical golden age. Their distinctive sound features parallel harmonies, lilting falsetto, and classic steel guitar that captures the very essence of traditional Hawaiian music.
